It's time to say it loud and say it proud....I just celebrated my two year aniversary of being sober.well, at least a non-drinker because complete sobriety would include no reefer smoking, no self-medicating and no recreational drug use all of which have been a part of my life for many years now including the past two.  I am proud to say that the last drink I had was at a superbowl party two years ago. Although I continue to struggle, some days more than others, I have had the emotional willpower along with the severe emotional disturbance that I feel and have felt since April of 2007 to stop pouring poison in my system.  I hope that I can be an inspiration to those who continue to struggle with this rough addiction!!!  If you need me,i'll be here!!!smiley-cool.gif

hey hot chicky mama~arent baths great for you?I know you said that you really enjoyed them so maybe do that for a bit and try to think about nothing.I know it doesnt help with the addiction properties of the alcoholism but at least they are soothing. As for the anger, maybe you are going thru the anger stage of the sobriety like i went thru for quite some time.i was mad that i couldnt drink and definitely regretted some of my drunken mishaps(to put it nicely).then when i didnt feel like anyone was supporting me,esp.my hubby who is an alkie too, that made me even angrier. Then there were times that i was very mad at myself for being ill, even tho it wasnt my fault.lots of anger and i was stable enuf but still angry and i joined a gym to get my frustrations out. A few people suggested yoga to me but i thought the gym and possibly kick boxing were more my speed and may be a good way to release some of my trapped energy. trying to redirect it or channel it into something positive.you may be ready to do something like that or you may need to just feel it for a bit even tho the feeling of anger is unpleasant. i think id rather be angry than depressed if i had a choice.anger takes more energy and doesnt make you feel dead but its still not pleasant esp. when and if it lasts a long time, it really can and does wreak havoc on you physically as well as emotionally. i hope this may have helped a bit.i just know that i had ALOT of misdirected anger and took it out on myself but on others, too.Pretty crazy this alcoholism shite!!! I luv ya and hope i helped.
