I was whining today because I didn't have my D'Artangnan and I had to return one of the pretty blouses that Lynn bought me. So much for Christmas presents. Then I started thinking about how my Christmas' I spent alone, begging God to send me the perfect man. The man He had created just for me. How many times had I wanted to just be with my family and they were so far away? The Christmas before my Charlie died I remember that we didn't have any presents for each other. We lived in that tiny little house that had cockroaches from hell. I remember thinking that we didn't have much, but we had our health and each other. As I type this, I am watching my sweet husband sleep. I have been blessed. Blessed far beyond anything any mortal woman should be blessed with. My daughter is grown now and providing a good home for her kids. My mom is married to a man that worships the ground she walks on. My friends are happy. My bills are paid. I have the love and respect of many more people than I did way back then.My Redeemer lives! Christmas is about His birth, not how many presents I can give or receive. Yes, my Redeemer lives!! Somehow that has brought tears to my eyes. I am so very greatful for His love and Salvation.
Wow I didn't expect that when I started this journal.

I haven\'t disappeared off the face of the earth. Just dealing with my own issues. I\'m the one living in the little house with roach problems...we do have gifts, but times are tough. It\'s hard sometimes to remember to count our blessings.

I am thinking of you, and yes, when times get rough, we have to get back on track for the good things we do have. I have to really look hard for them some days. Just when I say how could things get any worse, boom, it does for some reason. So I don\'t think I will say that.

Now, aren\'t you happy you can call me and I call you back and we talk so long on the phone? How could things get any worse? lol. Just kidding. Hugs to you and thanks for the journal, sets things straight.
