I spent an hour with my MOM yesterday! I had a brief nap and we were sitting in her fave rocking chair together. It was wonderful to have her with me but painful to have to wake up!
Feeling so overwhelmed right now. My Dad\'s dad did pass away the April after I wrote my last Journal entry. Then Dad\'s mom passed away several months later. She fell and broke herself up pretty badly after the Tornado his Washington last November. She lasted a short bit longer and went home, leaving my Dad and Aunt to sort out the little bits left. My Dad isn\'t speaking to my Aunt and she and I sorted through some things and she\'s now moved to TX to be with her kids. She\'s been very ill and I am praying for her speedy recovery. My husband worked for a Mom and pop caf owned by some friends from church. Things there were good but the business wasn\'t there so they sold the caf. The family who bought it kept my husband there and made him executive chef. He was good for business, keeping the regulars by giving them what they want and were used to, along with bringing in new \"regulars\" with tempting new menu items. Everything seemed to be going very well for the new owners and the restaurant was thriving, with just a few slow days here and there. The owners said they loved my hubby\'s recipes and that they valued him. I brought much business to them and talked it up everywhere I went to help support their growth. Then the owner\'s mother in law passed away. My hubby and I did everything we could to help them so they could focus on the needs of their families. What happened next was a complete shock! They forced my hubby out. They created a hostile and unsafe work environment for him because he tried to help out in their time of need! I\'m still in shock, but worse is he\'s not found anything jobwise and we\'re really struggling. We were almost free of the paycheck to paycheck existence. Here we are again!
