Moving On
At almost 15 months after you left us so very suddenly my dear Clyde, I have come to the decision that taking care of our huge yard is going to get harder and harder. It also came to me that if I am to move on I need a new environment. God, how do you move on in peace???
I came to this decision yesterday morning, left to go to the store and put it out of my mind for awhile. When I returned my wonderful next door neighbor stopped me at the car to ask how I was doing. As we talked I shared my revelation with her about needing a new environment. I added that selling right now was out of the question and renting was very scary. (You and I put a lot of work in this house honey, and the thought of it being abused sickens me)
My neighbor said, my aunt and her son would like to rent a house. She is very clean and loves yard work. Her son is very handy and they are very responsible! God, is this my answer?? Be careful what you ask for, you may get it came to mind!
This morning I can only think about the work involved to accomplish a move and can I really leave our home even though I think it would be good for me. I don't think I can move on with all the memories and familiarities staring me in the face every day. God, this is hard!
Clyde, I know you would tell me to follow my heart and take it a step at a time.
I keep thinking this will get easier. I guess in some ways it has; in others it has become harder. I still expect you to walk down the hall with that great big smile on your face. I love you forever and ever!
