Very frustrated with a co-worker who is also a good friend.  My supervisor complained about her to our office manager and now this co-worker is getting back at me.  I was not around when the my supervisor did the complaining.  In fact I did not know about the complaint until today when this co-worker tried to get me in trouble with our lady boss making it appear that I am not doing my job or it was my mistake.  It is personally frustrating working with this co-worker but since she is a friend if she did something wrong I would just keep quiet so she doesn't get in trouble and just do what I can to correct or continue what I have to do without going thru her.  Also, it is very difficult having a conversation with her or explaining anything to her.  Like today, she was already discussing about plans for next year.  I found it amusing so I was laughing and told her let's focus on the present issues first and discuss future plans for later.  she was annoyed when I laugh asking what was funny.  Why can't we discuss next year's plans now she said.  I had to repeat myself - let's discuss it another time and focus on the present issue.  She oftentimes takes my/others' statements literally that I have to explain repeatedly some statements that what is being discussed is lost with her numerous irrelevant questions.  I've confided to our business manager that I love this co-worker but I don't want to work with her.  There is a responsibility we shared before but I opted to take the entire project myself.  I set up a system myself so the project is running smoothly - easily tract and understood.  Whereas when we shared the responsibility, she stretches her time doing her part and it is so difficult my work plan gets messed up because our timelines are messed up.  I love this co-worker friend, I owe her a lot but the frustration is killing me.  This present shared responsibility is only seasonal.  If given the chance to work on the project myself I am sure I can do it but it would mean losing her job. I don't want that to happen because she/her family cannot afford it.  I repeat I owe her a lot and I am not counting the favors, I've done so much for her as well.  God help me please.
