DIL and g/daughter invited me to join them on a trip to the beach and zoo. G/daughter is so adorable, smart and friendly. She would talk to everybody and I mean everybody. She is like an adult in a little girl's body. DIL raised her well. I am so proud of them both. DIL's patience is outstanding. Countless times, she almost miss the exit because g/daughter's non-stop queries.
While watching a show at the zoo, g/daughter sat at the very front of the stage. Without hesitation, she gladly went on stage when asked to participate in some random antics.
At the restaurant, the customers at the next table was so amazed at g/daughter's food order - quesadilla with an extra plate of shredded lettuce. This is also one excellent habit DIL imposed on g/daughter. She eats vegetables and fruits with gusto and none of beef or pork and very minimal chicken. I was so amazed watching g/daughter devour her food. Although, DIL says the habit can also be a problem when going out to eat because of g/daughter's eating style.
DIL was such a perfect host despite their unfavorable situation with my son. I can see and feel her pain lingering somehow. She gets her strength from our little one. On the way home, I asked DIL if we could stop by the church so I can thank God for the wonderful bonding.
