Sad and happy at the same time - Kim is out of the country for three weeks to be with hubby but missing her so much.  No Friday walks for me and I have to do grocery shopping on my own.  We usually do it after the walk.  The grocery shopping itself is not a big deal it's the time we spend together - sharing this and that, unburdening and all.  Kim's issues are always light - in my opinion.  For example, she resents it if her son go to Las Vegas during a long weekend.  She always speculates that he will just gamble.  Told her that may not be always true because he could go there to watch a show or concert or go shopping or go to an electronics convention or be there for plain relaxation.  She gets annoyed because I take her son's side.  Yes, that may be true but he deserves it!  He's been working so hard and deserves some good time - on his own terms and not on Kim's.  The thing is Kim would stress herself so much knowing her son would do what he likes anyway.  Once, I told Kim why don't we go too.  We could stay on a different hotel.  The more she got annoyed with me.  I wish she would give her sons some distance because they are 27 and 30 years old and have minds of their own.  I would only share my opinion if she shares something with me; otherwise, I keep mum because I don't want to upset her all the more.
I am on break for a week.  Have been resting - sleeping much of the time since Friday.  I was hoping I could do some sewing projects; still waiting for the crafting juices to flow.  I took out a few fabrics and thinking of a summer outfit I could do, just so my break is productive and I did something worthwhile.  At this point, I am glued on the TV - lots of Hallmark romantic movies to watch.  Thank you God for the wonderful restful weekend and for more to come.
