I felt bad with Kim's comments during our Friday walk.  She did not have the right to judge my faith.  She may be going to church regularly but that does not mean that she is more favored over me.  I opted not to argue with her - one, because when it comes to faith or anything about God, I believe it is something personal and God is never an issue; two I respect anybody's preference (she included) if they believe or not in God so long as they do not step on anybody's boundaries.  I love and respect Kim so much that I restrained myself not to say anything that would hurt her and then resent it afterwards.  I know for certain I did the right thing.
Earlier on, I feel she was already in a bad mood because her sons ignore her.  I don't blame the sons because Kim has this habit of checking on them more often than necessary.  Her sons are 25 and 30 years old and should be treated as adults.  She calls or texts them practically every hour and of course the boys get annoyed and respond rudely and then Kim gets hurt not admitting its her fault why the boys act like so.  She is a good mother but she should give the boys space.  Everytime these situations happen, Kim vents on me and that is just fine.  I am her friend and I understand her.
Perhaps just wanted to vent myself....

I just read this and it hits home for so many people\'s relationships with their friends. You did the right thing because sometimes not saying anything is the hardest thing.

Totally agree about giving the kids some space. She would be surprised to find how much they will miss her when she doesn\'t do that.
