Well

My life continues to change and be at times very unpredictable. After surviving Superstorm Sandy and having my home completly
destroyed we did rebuilt, thanks to the Jazz Association, friends, family and even FEMA.  I found a job and for the first time in my life found a job I truly like- I worked with the mentally ill-- My husband ended up without a job-he used to teach as an instrumental teacher and the school district eliminated the position, therefore his job. He concentrates in making more music now, at times is has been a challenge.
So fast forward to last week. The Build it Back program calls us to give us an update--the program has been saying after the storm that our home and neighborhood homes are going to be lifted to ensure safety during another storam, this has been going on for almost 3 years to no progress--until last week when BiB show us plans and notify us that we have been approved for the grant, the program will pay for our storing fees and rent while we move out of the home for 4 months. And by the way we have to be out of the home by the 25th of this month!  It's been crazy-I quit my job but my boss wouldn't let me and assure me I will have a job when I come back. And I forgot to mention that my husband called his producer in Europe who graciously gave us a apt, of course we have to pay, but my husband has a project to do and in other words have gigs in Europe. So in short I'm moving to France for 4 months.. It's crazy.
In the middle of all this, I have been diagnosed with sleep apnea and I'm waiting for my cpap machine.
Yeah--this is crazy.
There is one more thing.... With all th challenges life has been throwing at us....my husband remain the same guy I fell in love with.
