my reason for being on the abuse board... you see, i have been thinkin pretty hard on why i keep coming here, especially when it does hurt me emotionally sometimes(not on a personal level, but from investing a lot of emotion into it)... and my conclusion is that this is how i am dealing with my own personal form of PTSD.  By helping others that have been abused.  Because i don't know why, but i have this almost irresistable drive in me to try to shine light where people have made it dark.  i want no one to be a victim. I want everyone that has been told that they aren't good enough, to stop believing that bullshit, and to start trying. If you fall short, that's ok! You can always pick yourself back up and continue on!  I want those that have been mistreated, to stand up and say, "No more! This ends now!" I want the person that cries themselves to sleep at night because of their significant other abused them to dry their eyes, to lift their spirits, and to physically, mentally, and spiritually free from their oppresser. After realizing htis about myself... i then had to figure out why do i care so much about doing this? where most other men don't?  Hell, most other men don't even know that abuse runs rampant.  for those that aren't abusers, they don't know anything about the hell that abusers make of the abusees' lives.

Sometimes i guess it\'s tough for some of us women who have had the crap kicked out of us (literally!) to trust anything that any man ever says again in life.

Thank you for caring enough to keep trying to help, it means more than you will ever know.
