I hope you all had a good Thanksgiving.  Mine went well overall.  I worked for 8 hours, and got paid $23/hour, which I was quite thankful.  I did seclude myself from my family after I ate breakfast, lunch and dinner after getting off work (1 entire meal).  My mom wanted me to join, but I didn't want to, in regards to talking to everyone that hasn't seen me in awhile.  I told her that I wanted to take a nap after eating, and that is exactly what I did, then later I got interrupted because everyone was leaving.  I apologized to everyone for not being sociable, and my mom said, "That is who I am."  I spoke to my fiance' about it, and he said that is not who I am all the time.  I do socialize, but when I want to, and its usually at work or church.I am thankful for many things, and they are that:1.  I am alive-  I could have died that night I was raped from being drugged2.  God- So glad He is in my life3.  Family and Friends- Love and Support4.  Job opportunitiesToday, since it is the day after Thanksgiving, I am feeling like dirt, yet very calm.  I work tonight from 11-7 a.m. with one patient.  I wrote in my journal two triggers I can work on, but wasn't able to do five because they all are difficult to handle at this time.  I showed them to Jared, so he is aware, and can help me through them.  They are popcorn and water, and demanding.  These are the two that I am currently working on.  I have so many triggers that I know it is going to take me a long time to deal with them, and I hate how I feel.I am watching a movie right now called, "Speak."  It's about this Freshman girl in high school who gets raped while at a party.  She is shunned by her classmates, and is struggling immensely.  I like the movie, and would reccomend it to any of you who are interested.Did you all have a good Thanksgiving?  I hope it went well, and have a good weekend.

Hey hun

Im glad that you finally got some rest and moolah!! I understand about the triggers. I now avoid anything scary or gory on tv (law and order, the news, unfortuantly) because theyre were triggers for me for anything. Basically they contribute to my anxiety too much. But Ive been avoiding them for almost a month and it has helped. dont worry about what your mom said. You had a crazy day and you were as gracious as you could be with how exhausted you were. dont take it to heart. Im glad the online counseling thing is working out for you. Hopefully dealing with triggers will help you out soon.
