Today, I have taken the time out to continue to pray for the victims and survivors of VA Tech. My heart goes out to them. I am slightly depressed because that could have easily been my school, Liberty University. This hits close to home for me because of me being in college, and the fact that it could have been me, dead on that beautiful day. You know what I mean? This world is not safe. I am safe with God. "He is my refuge and strength. My ever present help in the time of need." Psalm 46:1. Liberty was encouraging all students to wear Hokie colors today for Hope day, so I did that, and I said a prayer for them at noon. My heart goes out to them in sympathy. I long for Christ's return when there will be no more death and pain. I desire peace where everyone will get along. One thing that disturbed me today was that Phelp's group will be going to the funeral's and protesting. I wrote them a letter on how we are to reach others through Christ by relationship, and not through picketing. I doubt that they will write back, but someone needed to rebuke them because of their godless actions. After I did it, I felt good because I was able to stand up to creeps like them, who make the church look bad, which is why people don't want to go to church because of them, and that is sad. All we can do is pray for those who are hurting in this ordeal as well as for Phelp's church. God is in control, and we are not.
