13 weeks or 13 weeks 4 days confused and very scary day
Just got back from the ER and thank God everything is okay with my little Lili Pea Berry. My scare started yesterday. I woke up to take a shower and noticed pink discharge, I was alarmed because I didn't spot once during this pregnancy until now, was scared that they may not find a heartbeat at my NT screening, I prayed so hard for God to protect my baby that this was my second pregnancy and couldn't go through another miscarriage, everything went well with the screening as mentioned in my previous journal, told the tech about my spotting she said she couldn't see anything and since spotting stopped that I had nothing to worry about, I went in thinking I was 12 weeks 4 days just to be told that baby was measuring 12 weeks 6 days, now this brings us to today. I woke up around 8am to a wet feeling, went into the bathroom and noticed that I was bleeding heavily with clots, first thought was OMG I am miscarring, through tears I called my doctor's office and they agreed to have me come in, she first checked with a doppler to see if she could locate my baby's heartbeat and was having a hard time finding it and now I am in tears, she then sent me to have an ultrasound done which took forever. Finally got in and the first thing I asked was if there was a heartbeat, my baby started flipping and she laughed and said "there definitely have to be one if the baby was moving that much," I breathe a sigh of relieve. My baby's heartrate was 158 bpm and my little one was so active the tech said she/he was giving us a show, the tech moved to the right baby moved to the left, she then moved to the left baby moved to the right OMG I was laughing and crying at the same time, baby was sucking her finger, touching her/his face the tech laughed and said baby is definitely a girl lol, she tried to see but couldn't see anything this early I will be happy with either as long as my baby is healthy. She checked everyhing when she checked the placenta she noticed that it was covering my whole cervix so now I am diagnosed with "placenta previa" unless the placenta moves I will be having a c-section, I don't care I just want my baby to be born safely into this world. When they measured my baby, my baby is now measuring 13 weeks 4 days when just yesterday my baby was measuring 12 weeks 6 days, I am so confused. Today I am supposed to technically be 12 weeks 5 days, but was going by yesterday scan which puts me at 13 weeks today and if I go by today scan that puts me at 13 weeks 4 days I am sooo confused, what should I go by. I am praying that God continues to bless and protect my baby keeping her/him safe under his wings, my GOD is an AWESOME God to him I give all my praise and glory, please keep us in your prayers, I will do whatever is asked of me to keep my baby in my wombs for as long as it takes, I may have to go on bed rest so we will see how that goes as I progress in this pregnancy

Oh goodness How scary!!! My sister had Placenta Previa, the SAME thing happened to her, clots lots of bleeding ect,,,!!! She went on complete bed rest...she did NOTHING in her pregnancy. Her pregnancy went fine, she went almost full term( I think she was a week early), and has a VERY healthy little boy:) About the size, I am not too sure about all that, but I would \"think\" it would be scary if the baby was measuring small, not large. Saying prayers for you!!! Hope you don\'t have any more scares!!!
Glad things are okay. You will likely be put on some kind of bed rest at some point unless the placenta moves. For now, take it super easy. I repeat, Take it super easy. No sex and don\'t do a lot. As far as the dates, they are just estimates and as long as a different tech does it each time it may be slightly different. You know when you ovulated because you tested, so go by your own dates. It\'s not like babies care about their due dates anyway. :)
i am sooooo sorry! i am praying for you so hard right now! i know how scary that must be and i\'m just devastated that you are having complications. it always seems so easy for other women, like they never have trouble, and its never that simple. i am so sorry and praying very hard that God will watch over you and your family! try to get some rest, though i know its hard.
*Shock* I am so so so so glad that you and your little one are ok! That must have been so terrifying for you! I am praying for you and your little one. My good friend had plecenta previa and she has a healthy 3 year old boy and then she went on to have little girl who is 7 months old right now! I hope hearing of other stories like yours makes you fell better. You are both in my prayers!
I have to tears if relief for you hun. That\'s so scary, I feel awful you had to go through that worrying time. I had something similar happen to me at 12 weeks, but mine was due to stopping my prednisone med, I was so sure it was bad news, and now my baby girl is 12 days old. :) I too had plancenta previa until 24 weeks, and it moved completely. I ended up with an elective c-section but that\'s was due to her bring up high and no signs of labor.

You just have to be really cautious now.. No sex, no lifting heavy things and try being on moderate bed rest. As for your weeks, you just focus on it from you last menstrual period. Baby can always measure 1-2 weeks more or less than it actually is. When i m/c, i was 16w2d and baby measured 17w1d, anyhow i was 16w2d. So.. You are 12w5d. One thing is your gestational age and the other is the baby\'s measurements.
Sweetie, I am so sorry that you had a scare! I had one at 9 weeks... I started bleeding and it turns out that I had a subchorionic hematoma. By the grace of God it went away at 13 weeks but nobody likes to see blood when they are pregnant. My car ride over to the RE I was trying to prepare myself for the worse but I just knew it was going to be okay. I bled for a few weeks. I am sorry that you have placenta previa. I am happy that your sweet pea is doing fine though! Did the doctors say that you will bleed throughout your pregnancy or if this is just a one-time thing? I am praying that your placenta moves!

I am so happy that the little one is alright. Take it easy and remember to do your research... Arm yourself with knowledge. Next time you wake up with clots... go to the ER... forget calling your doctor.

This can be super scarey. I had spotting right around 14 weeks and nearly had a heart attack. Same deal my Placenta was really low in my uterus. Not covering the Cervix but Low enough were it was causing irritation so I spent 6 weeks on Pelvic Rest, weight restrictions and just being really really careful. At my 20 week Ultrasound I got the good news that it had moved and was not far out of the way. So while Placenta Previa is super scarey my friend had it. Your Placenta can move and I will pray that it does.
