Hello All,
I have been off the grid for a couple of weeks. I was out of town (hiking in the Grand Canyon which was absolutely wonderful) and then came home to some computer problems and issues at work that had to be dealt with. All in all it was a crazy whirlwind of events and issues, some wonderful and some fairly challenging. I am hopeful that at this point things have levelled out and I can get back to a somewhat normal life.
A little more about my Grand Canyon hike. I raised a little over $2500 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society which included donations from many including our own Doug (on behalf of Daily Strength) so thank you Doug and thank you all of Daily Strength for your encouragement and good wishes. I took you with me as I thought about many of you as I was hiking along. In addition, I had ribbons on my backpack to honor many who are survivors and many who fought bravely but have lost their battles with cancer. This included a purple ribbon for Rachel Scully who lost her battle only a short time before I went on the hike. I felt honored to take Rachel with me to such a beautiful and surreal place.
That's about it for now. I have been busy catching up on all of your journal entries and am so glad to have all of you as friends and Daily Strength to tie us together!
