I had a horrible meltdown on Tuesday. Unfortunately, it was while I was working as a poll worker at the elections. I couldn't stop crying and I had to leave. I feel as though I let everyone down.

Oh Honey ~ Of course you didn\'t let everyone down. I\'m sure there were plenty of workers there to help out. Sometimes these waves of punch-in-the-gut sadness just hit us inexplicably and there we are, doubled over in wracking sobs.

Love yourself, forgive yourself and pat yourself on the back for volunteering to help out on election day!

Sending so much love and lots of hugs ~ Debbie

So understandable to feel that way and am glad to know that you tuned into what you needed and cared for yourself. Please don\'t let that occurence make you think that you can\'t volunteer again at some point. You can and you will and last Tuesday was just not one of those days. Gentle care your way my friend. Love, Joanie

Lori, I\'ve been there as I\'m sure everyone on this site has. Sometimes when the waves hit we do get knocked right over. You\'ll pick yourself up and help out again. Be gentle on yourself. None of us asked for this and we are all doing the best we can. Tight hugs and understanding, Linda

Ditto.. we have all had our meltdown at less than opportune times.. I am sure everyone was wondering last Christmas if it would be repeat of the previous year (it wasn\'t)... believe me.. it wasn\'t pretty, but it was what it was when it was... and I can never guarantee it won\'t happen again.. and won\'t beat myself up if it does... to paraphrase something I heard... it won\'t bother those who care, and those who don\'t care I can\'t be bothered with anyway...

I started crying at a concert on Sunday, I kept wondering what the people around me thought, I cried anyway. You earned the right to cry whenever, so go ahead and cry, and I\'ll cry with you, Nora

You let nobody down. You are a grieving mother, the worst kind of grief that one goes through. Anybody there who thought otherwise let you down. Cry sweetheart..just cry your heart out. Meltdowns are normal..I had a meltdown on my mom\'s 60th birthday...I just couldn\'t come to work. Got scared....but I think that\'s okay.

Take care and lots and lots of love...

You did not let anyone down. Nobody has any idea the pain that you feel. The tears come at anytime without notice. I have been there and even after 5 years I have meltdowns also. Love to you.
