Good news on all fronts.
The transplant facilitators at Life Source will be sending me a letter in the next week or so letting me know the progress of those who recieved Sarah's organ donations. I hope that they are all doing well. I already know the gender and ages of the recipients. Her heart went to a 59 year old woman, her liver went to a 45 year old woman, her pancreas went to a 45 year old woman, one kidney went to a 14 year old girl and the other went to a 12 year old boy.
I went to the doctor earlier this week and my Crohn's disease is in full remission and I don't need to go see him for a year if things stay the same. I am even able to cut back on one of my meds. But it sucks not to be able to drink. Alcohol seems to cause flareups for me.
I was driving to work yesterday and stopped at a stop light. There was a gentleman walking down the street looking up at the sky. I looked up to see what he was looking at. There was a plane skywriting..........I have never seen a skywriter around here before and I've lived here all my life. He was completing a large circle and then added a few other touches. It was a smiley face. I said "Hi Sarah", the light turned green and i finished the drive to work. If it had not been for the nice man looking up to see what was going on, I would have missed it.
