When we consented to donate Sarah's organs, we were told the age and the gender of each recipient. We were told that we would receive a followup letter, letting us know how each one was progressing. I have gotten nothing yet. I called the group that facilitated the organ donations and was told that I had reached the wrong department. I was given the phone number of the proper department, but they were closed for the day.I haven't had the courage to call back.
I don't want any confidential information, I just want to know if these people are well and thriving. It would help me to find some peace.

My friend call.... I donated my kidney to my cousin. I don\'t know how much info they might give....but call you will find peace!! It\'s one of
the most wonderful things one can do is to give life to another at such a moment of sorrow. May God bless you and keep you!!

You deserve and need to know that Sarah\'s organs are blessing others with the gift of life. I\'m sure if you persist and keep calling until you reach the right department you will receive the answers that will help ease your heart.

keep calling! if you want the information, you have the right to know. you are so fortunate that he was able to donate organs... my dad had completely bled into his internal organs and caused them to be unusable.
I just got off the phone with Life Source. Thank you all for gently persuading me to call them back. They apologized for not getting back to me sooner with the update letter on Sarah\'s organ recipients. They have been going through staff transitions and are backed up. I will have a letter in a week or so.
So glad you called them back and that they had some news for you!
