Tonight's meeting was so good. Sad though, some have gone out again. Some are getting kicked out of their homes before Christmas. Seeing the fear in their eyes reminded me of how I felt when I was drinking, I was always afraid of something. Everything. Today, I am grateful for my life, for my D.S. friends, for my A.A. group. One thing I don't like about Christmas, is the emphasis the world puts on it, like everyone is supposed to be this big happy family, and all get together, and enjoy every moment of it. Life's not like that for a lot of people. It stresses out many people, some cannot get along with their siblings, and would rather not be with them for a meal. I am glad I dont have to do that. I am glad that my kids are happy, and healthy, thats all that matters to me. This year I am making an extra effort to pray more for people that suffer. Whether from physical or mental illnesses. From lonilness, or fear. Whatever the reason, God will hear our prayers. Many cannot pray for themselves, because they don't believe. So we can pray for them.I hope everyone has a peaceful and safe holiday.
