I thought I was sleeping in today..............I woke to the sound of the pitter patter (more like thumping and bumping) of many cats running, running, running, up and down the halls, playing, wrestling, performing gymnastics.so, I got up, and all I got was, "feed me, pet me, water me". I could have killed them all.I stumble to the kettle, flip the switch, surrounded by a churning sea of meowing, impatient pets. long tails on my legs, cats between my legs, tripping, slipping, and still trying to remain upright......I fight for my right to a hot cup of tea. I demand respect! I manage to escape from them, guilitly sipping my hot tea..........but its impossible to enjoy, we must feed the horde. We slowly approach the cat food, once again tripping over frantic felines, for they know where the bucket is kept. Heading to the cat dishes, bucket in hand, we grasp at walls, and doorknobs, trying to keep our balance, scooping a cup into the dish, it lands on a head, we head to the next dish, another cup of food on a cat head. this is kind of amusing, albiet too early for this kind of fun. Once they are all around their dishes, covered in cat food dust, they seem happy. But, its not over, now, appetites safisfied, they must come to say "thank you", and "pet me", "rub my tummy", God forbid we should touch one and not the other!by the time this performance is over, I am smiling, for they really are cute. Now, we all know that a full cat cannot keep its eyes open long......there is hope, soon, they shall all be napping, twithcing, having little cat dreams. Resting up for the next feeding frenzy.Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...........peace and quiet.its Tea time.
