The meeting went very well last night, it was SO nice to go again. There is a birthday on Monday, so I shall probably go to that too, a guys having his 50th year without a drink. They gave me a little token for 24 hrs. lol. and said I get another one at one month. so cool.They also gave me a list of phone numbers of the people at the meeting, so if I want to call someone, I can. and they are talking about starting up a daytime meeting!! thats the best news ever!.well, I am off to give the cats their morning cuddles, and have a shower, we have some yard work to do today, and a wee bit of shopping.hang in there, staying sober isnt the only thing to tackle one day at a time.hugs, from Eddi

I\'m so happy for you. I started going to Al-anon mtgs. Even though my alcoholic is out of my house(he will never be totally out of my life). I realized i had to do something to help myself overcome the damage that was done and the blame i placed on myself that i was unable to love him enough to make him quit drinking. That the girls and i weren\'t enough. I\'ve been to 6 mtgs so far 3 at one place and 3 at another. It\'s a struggle but i keep going. I need to learn to detach and that his drinking was NOT my fault.
