Today

I've taken legal steps to remove my father's next of kin right to me.  I contacted a lawyer this morning and the papers are on the way.  I also contacted my cousin and have given him the rights.  He agreed to this.
 
It feels like losing my husband in a way, only I don't get to take time off to heal.  It's a living death.
