I have stepped out of my comfort zone.  Since jobs seem to be impossible to find I decided to volunteer for CASA.  I filled out the online application on Thursday evening last week.  Tuesday I sent an email directly to the local chapter.  Still waiting to hear from them.  Mom was kinda put out because of the financial burden this would put on us.  I really need a job to help out.  Met with the ladies from mom's church for an impromptu get together for catching up.  The conversation was lively; so much so mom got a bit concerned.  I am going to a party saturday with the local historical group.  This will be the second time I have met with them. I am really looking forward to that. My friend Becky has joined me in my swimming routine.  I am not losing weight again yet, but am socializing while exercsing so that is a plus.  Still doing the stairs, looking to add a day or two with them on a flatter track during the week too.  I am reading a Jackie Collins book for the first time-not sure what to think yet.
