Was diagnosed with DVT, both legs, and PE, 2 of them, March 4th, was told I had to quit smoking, and as of now I am doing okay, think about how great a cigarette would taste, but I realize that 1 in 3 people with PE do not make it, and I guess I kind of figure I am being given a chance of a lifetime here. End of last October, sciatica hit me, about crippled me for 6 weeks, took more than 2 months to recover, lost my job, applied for Social Security Disability, got it, that was really a blessing, x-rays and MRI's revealed a host of spinal conditions that prevented me from returning to the work I'd done for over 20 yrs. I became very sedetary, then the DVT and Pe hit, and now I realize I've got to get into exercising or just be more active in order to get healthy again. I was diagnosed with RA and Oa many years ago, and the meds and the remicade was helping me to be as normal as the next person, but now because of the Warfarin rx for the DVT, I've had to give up some of my rx's that controlled inflamation because it will interfere with the warfarin, now my fingers and low back are really becoming alot more painful. So I guess I really have 3 goals, stop smoking for the last time, Lol, start excercising, and learn to deal with a bit more pain.
