This weekend Todd asked me if I felt like I needed to go back into counseling.  Todd was not Scott's father.  I know he loved Scott but the grieving is not the same.  I am as good as I will ever be (I think).  We never get over the death of our child.  Who would want to.  I stay here feeling like I have one foot in this world and one in the next.  With the mountains all around me, it is easy to imagine; it works for me.

Lisa, we all grieve differently. We all go at our own pace. Just last week, I told my husband, who is Jake\'s stepfather, that I worry how he will put up with me. I don\'t know when or if I will ever be better than this right now. Jeff told me it didn\'t matter. He loves me no matter what way I am. He loves Jake as if Jake were his own. This is one of those times where Jeff had the right words. But there are time when he doesn\'t. It\'s just the differences between a man and a woman. You need to do what\'s best for you. Whatever that is. Lots of prayers, Jake\'s mom, Kathy

Hi Kathy - Thanks for your message. I just always thought I would be doing better by now. It is probably the deposition I have to give in July (wrongful death) and knowing I have to re-live 5 months of Scott\'s hospitalizaton. It\'s so hard. THnaks for your prayers.
