Good afternoon,
Yesterday was a decent day to be at the gym. Except for the weather. About 4-5 inches came down overnight. I walked out and yelled/screamed in the driveway. Brushed my car and plowed out of there. I went about 10:10am in the morning on Sunday. I immediately went on the eliptical machine. I need to figure out what I can do to make it more interesting and stay on the manual level. What I did was I counted the dots. This is what I did, stayed on level 1, grade 1 for 3 dots, when it hit the 4th dot, I went up to Grade 3, grade 2 for 3 dots, 4th dot after that, grade 5, level 4 for 3 dots, 4th dot after that, I went to grade 7 level 5. From there I went back down. it was even by the time I was at the last 2 minutes of the workout. I did an up/down method of the eliptical. 1 more week of 20 minute eliptical then on 3/21, I start doing 25 minutes. I got on the treadmill and did my 30 minutes. I did something similar to the eliptical but didn't change the grade but increased the speed. I also started at the odd # (3.3, 3.5, 3.6, 3.5, 3.3) I did extra 2 minutes at the top speed - so at 3.7 I did about 8 minutes. On 3/21, I do 35 minute treadmill.
Overall, it was a great workout and felt I got a lot accomplished. Feeling good today. Hopefully my back won't bother me. I have to be careful with the ibruprofen due to my kidney disease process.
I didn't increase the progress slider this week because I haven't started the biggest loser diet yet with the other hospital personnel. No news about it yet, everyone keeps asking. Not until april.
I did manage to lose a 1 pound. 190!! thats alittle bit of progress. Any little thing helps. I have been working on eating better by eating some fruits and veggies. Having a 2pm fruit snack. I bought those little mandarin oranges containers by delmonte that only has water in it. Yumm...thats really good. also, for dinner on Sat I made a chicken slovacki salad. That was good too. Trying to find fun things to eat, its not easy.
I will be checking in again on Wed.
