What a day!!

Was a sad day for me today as I was visiting with my friend and her husband (who is in the hospital due to a major heart attack (the husband). He ar situationswas out for 20 minutes before they were able to revive him...it was a good thing he was already at the hospital at the time. It was sad to see him in the hospital. From the sounds of things he won't be out of the hospital for a while and I feel sorry for him. I brought him a card and some flowers to cheer him up... but he is kind of in and out of it. I also felt bad because I didn't know what to say to him. It felt very uncomfortable but I tried to make the best of it.. I just never know what to say to people who are in the hospital, unless they are there for a happy event like the birth of a baby. Does anyone else feel this way? How do you cope with it? I would love to hear how others cope in similar situations.
