Tuesday
Today, which is really take care of Shawna and Elsie day, Not Tuesday. You all just thought it was Tuesday. Ha Ha fooled You. Anyhooo huh --- This was a good day. Went and had my hair fixed and got my nails filled and painted (airbrushed). They look like Easter Eggs. How cool is that. Then had lunch with Shawna and Ken. And we visited and had a nice time. Came home, the ugly cat ooopps I mean the cute pup (dog -- he is 6 years old) jumped all over my feet ( he can just barely reach my knees) "Mommy, Mommy, your home. I missed you so much." OKay, okay. What he was really saying was. "You left me alone for hours and hours, you -----, an the cats were mean to me, an the phone rang and rang and you weren't here to talk to all those people, Mommy, I barked and barked when they talked but they couldn't hear me, an Uncle Ken came in an stole somfin off the table. I tried to stop him but, mommy his bigger than me. Wait, everyone is bigger than me, an M-O-M-M-Y, I have to go outside, NOW!"
And the phone had rang and rang and rang. My phone very rarely rings. However today, there were 6 calls in 3 hours. One daughter in law, 2 friends, one Dr. office (twice) and a wrong number.( I didn't call them back cause my name isn't "Dammit Sandy") I did call my friends back. That will teach me to have a monday meltdown. Norma ran into Shawna yesterday and ended up worried because I had an in house day when I was suppose to go to the quilt shop. And was I okay. and she would be at the quilt shop until 3 o'clock and could I please come down so she could see that I was okay and She needed a hug. I told her that as soon as I make another phone call I would come to the quilt shop. Ooops the other phone call has to call back. I waited and waited and waited, no phone call. So I went to the quilt shop and had a wonderful visit with my sewing friends. A bunch of hugs. Jerri, my quilt shop mommy, gave me a good talking to about not coming to my friends when I have a meltdown. She's a wonderful lady, an ex-second grade teacher. She treats us all like her kids.
Didn't go to the store for ice and coke zero as I had planned because I spent longer with my friends at the quilt shop (my home away from home) than I had planned, but the coke and ice will still be there tomarrow.
Finally got a hold of my other friend. Just before she was leaving work. So we decided to have breakfast on Monday.
I guess the bottom line is it is so great to have friends around town and on line who are concerned when you blow a gasket. Even if sometimes you need to blow so that the steam doesn't build up into a major explosion that has no control.
Yes, oh, yes. this was a wonderful day.
Love 'N'Hugs,
Elsie

I Love You,
Shawna
Elsie, You have a way with words. Had to laugh when your little pup spued about being left along all day... And I love your Easter Egg nails too! I\'m sorry, but I haven\'t had the priviledge of knowing Shawna or Ken. And I\'m not sure what a meltdown is,,,, I\'m just learning some of the new chat words on DS. And I so thankful for the new friends that I\"ve met!!! Including you!!! Glad it was a good day. Good night, ~julie
Sorry to hear about you meltdown. Just hate when that happens. Love your dog and kitty. My dog gets bent out a shape when I am gone from the home too long. First, it is all kisses and hugs when I get home----then a few glares and hateful looks-----then more kisses and hugs. LOL You are SO lucky to have an actual quilt shop with a mommy and friends in it. Don\'t have that where I live. Darn. Dang it anyway. Where I live, in this huge low income senior/disabled complex-----folks see me workin on a quilt or one of my other projects and run right at me yellin. YOU SEW? YA SEW? Oh my gosh, I NEED
this and this and that and that fixed and repaired and hemmed and redone, etc.
OK, I am a really kind sort of gal and love helping others; AND/BUT; IF I were
to start fixing everybody else stuff----when would I have a life already. LMAO
I HIDE; yes I admit that I try very hard to HIDE the fact that I sew; for goodness sakes. Once anyone on the planet finds out that I actually know how to sew;
I am suddenly their best friend that has all the time in the world to fix every
textile they own. Geez Louisel please cut me a break; as I am off in my own world being creative and making a quilt or working on numerous projects of my own, or gifts for others.
Glad you have money for nails and fun stuff like that. Lucky you.
Hey friend; take care of yourself, and then your hubby, and then puppy and kitty, and then all those other folks out there. Love ya, Sally
