A new symptom this weekend, it's kept me hanging close to the couch and not doing too much. Don't know if it's MS related or not. I get a pain that starts in my left side right at the level of my diaphragm and then shoots across my midline. It does it a couple of times and then stops. Pain doesn't describe it very well, although it hurts like hell. It's more like an electric shock, a radiating pulse that starts on one side of my abdomen and runs to the other. Never had this before and don't care to again! Marcus is officially birthdayed out! We've had 3 days of parties here and me and Mo are wore out. Her uncle Peter has a b-day this week so Saturday everyone came to our house an had a mass b-day party for all February babies in the family. Didn't know that was happening until about 30 min before everyone arrived so there was a mad scramble to clean the house up............there's a cat still locked in a closet somewhere here, I'm sure! Last night we had b-day dinner at Chili's........I had the fajitas, steak, chicken and shrimp........ohhh yeah......it was good! We had cake and cookie dough ice cream afterward and Marcus had friends over and there were more presents. I got them all to bed around 10 last night. NO MORE! Mo's bithday is Friday this week and she told me she better not see any birthday cake or ice cream anywhere near here, she's had enough celebrating and DOES NOT want anything else to happen here at this house involving birthdays! AGGGGHHHHH! I think I will treat her to a nice quiet dinner out Friday, just the two of us. No cake.

Come on, we all know that no cake or ice cream means YOU BETTER NOT FORGET LOL, good luck with that! You should take her some where that makes you waer a stupid hat and get the whole place involved while they sing happy birthday and make her dance in the hat, I am sure she would love it LOL

Hey Dave, I would call your doc about that symptom. It may be ms related or not, but it doesn\'t sound like something you should blow off. If it happens again, I would definitely call the doctor. As for being B-dayed out, I can appreciate that. A good party once every few months is enough. Tell Mo Happy Birthday! Maybe I can get my husband to take me out to chilis soon. I haven\'t been there in a long time, a few years.lol Have a good Monday, Holly
You know, that pain hit several times over the weekend and I can\'t think of anything that could have caused it to occur. It would just happen. Don\'t believe it\'s coronary, pulminary or gastric. Like I said, it feels like an electric shock and it just passes from my left side, low about even with my diaphragm, and crosses over to the right and dissipates. Hasn\'t happened this morning, thank goodness, but who knows? It definitely gets my complete and total attention when it happens!
I am with Happysoul on the call the doctor thing, we can\'t take chances...even if it has gone away he or she needs to know...
Russ feels like you only the first week of Jan. sons BD, Anniversary...G-sons BD, My Birthday...he used to call it Hell week...LOL
Our Son lives far away and want\'s nothing to do with us he is 37 so that party is out, so he only has 3 to handle. hehehe
Happy Birthday Mo, Enjoy a nice relaxing Birthday.....Dave I think what you are having is what they call an MS Hug, they are painful and take your breath away. I have had them in the chest area backward and I get the shooting sharp pain in the head at times too. You should let your Neuro know whats going on....now after all that celebrating, I think a nice quiet dinner out for the two of you sounds wonderful. LOL
It might be the MS hug, but call the doc to make sure. I hate calling any doc for anyhting, but if soewmthing painful/new or both happens for more than 1 day, I call the doc. HUgs, Hattie
