Well the test was today.  It was not just a typing test.  In was a 500+  question test.  On things such as excel(3 parts), word(3parts), windows (3 parts), internet (2 parts) payroll,  accounting theory, bank reconciliation, bank deposits, petty cash and a 20 minute typing test.  Needless to say, I am sure that I did not pass this part of the interview process.  I am so bummed right now.  So disappointed.  I really wanted this job.  But there was a lot of secretarial stuff and I am just not  a secretary.  I know a little about Word, but am by no means an expert.  Just do not have a good feeling.  This thing took me from 5:00-9:45 to complete.  And to top it all off, I stopped to sign in at the front desk, and I see my bosses wife's name, she is there taking the test.  I asked if I could wait until she left, which they dd let me do.I am just so mad at myself right now.  I just do not have great computer skills, and I need to work on that.  OHHH!!!!  Disappointment hurts!!!!!

I congratulate you on the guts to try. Wait and see how it goes. Sometimes you don\'t know. But, the first try at getting a new job is the hardest. You just learned a boatload! Hug!

I\'m sorry. But you tried! that\'s the main thing. And something perfect will come your way. I know it. Hang in there. You win some and lose some. Take a nice relaxing bubble bath or something to reward yourself. You did good!

Oh I was thinking of you & wondering how the typing test went. So sorry to log on & see this post. it\'s too bad that they didn\'t warn you a little more about all that was involved. But like the others said, you shouldn\'t be so hard on yourself--Be PROUD! you tried it--I would have seen that test, and probably just walked right back out--who am I kidding, I never would have made it to the test. :) You saw something you wanted--found your weak spots & know what you need to work on. I\'m very proud of you. keep your chin up! lisa
