12 steps for freethinkers

It is quite a while since I wrote my last journal entry. When I started reading different 12 step programs, I struggled with the role of God in the different steps. I do not and cannot believe in God, but I want to continue with the 12step program. Finally, I foud a wonderful book "The Alternative 12 Steps: A Secular Guide To Recovery". I started to learn that we have to mobilize power from spiritual resources. But what are spiritual resources. I found an inspiring www site at

which has become a source for my reading. Thus, I have been working on step 2, but I am still searching what spiritual resources are meaning for myself.
