12/3/2014 One Bit Of Beauty To Remember
The last several weeks have been difficult, my PTSD keeps poking it's head up:
Forgot my counseling appointment the other day, as I'm so busy getting ready to travel.
My daughters' fiancee's grandmother died.
My daughter's father slung insults at me for wanting to say goodbye to our daughter's grandmother, as Nana was quite ill.
Hubby's lies are unraveling & I finally had the balls to call him on it.
My daughter's grandmother then died.
Sunday & Monday was back & forth to the funeral home for calling hours & then to the church for mass & burial.
My family does not believe I am capable of driving myself to North Carolina to visit my middle sister.
Ad Infinitum.
grrrrrr.........
So, the one bit of beauty to remember was Thanksgiving morning, as I was driving to my little sister's; I was simply shaken to my soul how beautiful the heavy snow was. Luckily, it stopped snowing during the night. When I set out, everything was wet- the tree bark was dark, the snow was a few inches thick on the tree branches, the road was wet & grey, the clouds were hanging low in the treetops. The only color was the double yellow line on the pavement. It struck me-
I was driving through an Ansel Adams photograph.
Outstandingly beautiful!
Love to all my DS friends.

So refreshing to hear you speak of the beauty of the snowfall. Most of us are geared to say \"yuck\". Hopefully your PTSD will back off so you go through the holidays with that same spirit. Big snowman hugs to you. Love ya
