12/21/2014 Winter Is Here
So many things have happened over the last few weeks. Don't even know where to start. I suppose I'll start where my brain is now.
The day I got back from my sister's I had to wait to get in my driveway. The school bus for the kid next door stops at my driveway, because it's easier for the kid's mom to use my driveway instead of cooperating with the tenants that live in her building. She's entitled, you know. She's on public assistance & everything is handed to her, so her mentality is "gimmegimmegimme I'm entitled". Anyways, back to the bus. The red lights are flashing. No passing. So, I put the car in park & I'm waiting. Just like the law says. The Section 8 fat bitch was not coming out of the house, so the bus assistant asked the driver to turn the red lights off so I can continue down the road. Well, I can't. The bus is using my driveway. So, I get out, thank the driver for her courtesy & explain I cannot pass, as the bus is blocking my driveway. The driver VOLUNTEERS without me asking to pull forward to let me in.
Lord, Have Mercy On My Soul, as the Section 8 fat pussy finally made it out of the house & decided to ream me a new asshole because the bus is in the street & everybody has to wait. I attempted to explain the bus driver was courteous to me & let me in, but pussy stank had to make an argument out of it. I haven't even popped the trunk to unload yet. I literally just turned the engine off & opened my car door. Welcome home, MelodyJane! Well, that scene told me buying the house down south was the right thing. I was upset for a while, but calmed down, as I did not want to give my power to her. After all she's a nothing on public assistance that our taxes have to pay for each time she pops out another kid.
My new house! The home inspection went well. A few minor issues that the seller is fixing. Such as- the french doors won't latch, the kitchen sink faucet leaks, the central air unit has to be mounted on a cement slab instead of cinder blocks- stupid stuff. Except for the termites. Now, don't panic over termites, because I'm not. The house was built in 1994. When the builder poured the footings, they forgot to take out the wood form away from one footing, only one footing. The termites got to that bit of wood, but NOT UP INTO THE HOUSE! Seller is ridding the termites. Other than that, I need to do a little bit of updating eventually. Honey oak cabinets all over the kitchen & both bathrooms. Too much of that one color throughout the house for me, but such a minor detail compared to the overall excellent condition of the house. Closing on my new house is 12/30. So much to do up here while my sister is P.O.A. for the closing. My financial guy is friggin' cranky because the deal didn't go the way HE wanted it. Oh damn well. Meaning he wanted me to take out a mortgage to preserve principal, but there isn't enough time. So I must pay cash. When this NY house sells, I'll mortgage the house down south & replace the principal. No biggie, financial guy...
Listed my little village house with a reputable realtor. It'll take a while to sell. My homeowners insurance will go up after one month vacant. Can't do a damn thing about it except to shit out the extra money.
I'M NOT STAYING IN NEW FUCKING YORK ANY LONGER THAN I HAVE TO. I set a goal to be out end of February 2015. Gonna go up to Rochester after New Year's & visit my daughter. Gotta say bye to her & her fiancee.
Hubby is in love after one week meeting a woman online. She's from Africa & living in Atlantic City. They texted a few days & then talked a few more days & he's ready to jump in. He told her he's divorced from me. Liar. Hope it catches up to him.
Hubby asked me the other day for our 2013 tax records. He wants to apply for the STAR exemption for his new house. He can't have it, because he's still listed on the mortgage for our village house. So, he asks me, will I give up the STAR exemption so he can put it on his house? NO. I'm not losing anything on his behalf. He has to take his name off this mortgage to get the tax exemption. So we go to the bank. They won't take his name off based on him buying & living in another house. We have to be divorced or I have to refinance. Nope. Not refinancing, I'm selling. Then he concludes we have to divorce sooner than expected & sorry about my epilepsy & medical benefits. Will I find a divorce lawyer? he asks.
WHAT THE FUCK? He wants this divorce so he can get the tax exemption? He can find a goddamned lawyer. (I explained nicely that it would be better if he finds an attorney, because I'm busy with the closing on my new house.) He can get off his ass & do his own leg work. I'm still his wife on paper but not in his heart or wallet. And I lose medical benefits temporarily. I'll get Obamacare down south, not here in NY.
Whatever.
I suppose I'm all agitated. I was the last one to find out about Hubby's new girlfriend. Nice feeling when I show up at the car club Christmas party & everyone is looking at me funny. Awkward, even with her not being at the party. I wasn't expected at the party apparently, so I left early & my Audi broke down on the way home.
Didn't call hubby for help. Solved my own problem. Low on oil; thankfully I have the sense to keep a spare quart in the trunk. My Audi takes a real weird weight oil- something like 000W530. (Really weird weight). As I'm fixing my problem, someone stops & observes me. I was scared that it was a someone with not so honorable intentions in a pitch dark pull off on a pitch dark road. Finally, the car pulls forward & I try not to scream. Bright lights pop on & a friendly voice asks me if I'm ok. I see it's the local police & almost peed my pants from relief. He was nice, chatted with me, I asked him to aim his bright light on the engine so I can make sure I'm pouring the oil in the right place. I replaced the cap, started the car & the computer gave me an OK. I thanked the officer & wished him a happy holiday & that his presence was quite welcome on this dark road.
More, but I need to go meditate. I'm letting things irritate me.
Love to my DS friends!

Great post. You definitely are one strong woman. I\'m in Long Island til tomorrow. My trip into NYC was nice and so is long island but I\'m glad I don\'t live here. Is the new home in a populated area or more rural?
