discharged from the hospital - but not clear if this is because his doctors deem him recovered enough or if it's because the insurance only covers so much...
he's back at the nursing home now.  the difference in staffing and coverage is dramatically obvious.  there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of communication between hospital and home even though they are only two miles apart.  hospital staff didn't seem to know he wasn't living in his own home and didn't have dietary info the nursing home has.
also some conflicting stories about the aspiration pneumonia - staff person at nursing home doesn't believe he aspirated any vomit at the nursing home before he was admitted to hospital, thinks the aspiration occured at hospital because they had not given him any thickened fluids.
so WTF, Batman?  Is he going to die of some horrible abcess from aspirated vomit or is he only temporarily having respiratory trouble because of some water that went down the wrong way?
it scares me to think that institutional communication dysfunction could kill my father...
