Last day of school with the kids tomorrow (Thursday). One more day required for teachers (Friday) and we put this academic year to rest.
Whew.
Some of it was really ugly this year. This is too public a forum to comment on it; suffice it to say that this year is done and there is hope next year will be better. My relief is beyond words.
Last weekend the Hubster and I went to the Boston Gay Pride Parade. I cheered loudest for the student groups and GSAs that marched. How different from when **I** was a kid... His favorite placard was the one I'm now using for my status: "Non-judgment day is coming"

yay...as Alice Cooper once said...\"schools out for summer!!\"
No judgement here my friend. I know you aren\'t a believer, but personally I think the Lord will reserve his harshest judgement for the modern day Pharasees. Otherwise known as the Westboro Baptist Church. Glad things are easier now. And teachers like you can be a role model for young Gay people instead of hiding.
\"personally\" I think that\'s a great placard
Rah Rah Rah .. summer summer summer ... slow to come to Fall. May you find sunshine and laughter ... be carefree and relaxed. BTW Love the placard. Hugs to you and your hubby
