Update...
... third grader stable, but not out of the woods yet. What an emotional roller coaster for his family! ... lunch today with a niece I haven't seen since she was 12. She's a lovely young woman of 29 - smart, funny, warm, a real joy. ... car back from the shop, finally. Hopefully nothing else will decide to self-destruct for a while. ... omg but I have a lot of studying to do AND need to get grades done by end of the month. I like doing that stuff, just need to make sure I don't turn the work into my usual ADD-deadline-drama. ... wiring in the garage shit the bed and as a result can't use the dryer until we spend megabucks bringing the wiring up to code. D'ya think we could catch a freakin' break with the repair crap until I can get the massage business off the ground? And thank goodness that THAT is the worst of my current worries, see entry #1 above.

I\'m so glad that kid pulled through B! That was a good sign in itself. The kid must be tougher than expected. All right, quit talking about what you need to get done and do it!!
I wrote something like...
Niece--how nice! (hehe) And if you don\'t press the self destruct button on the car it should be okay--glad you got it fixed!
And then I made some remark about how you needn\'t panic about grades because you always manage to pull it all together when you need to. (It\'s true you know!
And lastly, it was great to read that the boy is making some progress.
Thanks for re-posting Dearest!! Sometimes when resizing an Internet page the iPod thinks I\'ve selected a link... hate typing with my thumbs.
So glad the student is doing well ... sounds like you have a lot of home improvement stuff to do. You will get the grades done ... hopefully without too much stress. How wonderful to reconnect with your niece. You are a fantastic uncle. Sending positive thoughts your way ... trade you studying .. I am drowning in statistics.
Huge RAH RAH cheer for you ...
