So last night I stayed up late reading about all the bad things that happen to you don't get enough sleep. No, it didn't give me nightmares, but it did give me pause. I've been reading about it because that's what my independent research project is more or less about. Specifically, I'm looking for connections between massage and sleep. It seems there is one, but not the one I originally thought.

The connection is not about the deep relaxation on the table - that cannot substitute for sleep. It seems that the body's hormonal response to relaxation is what can promote better sleep. Wonder how much sleep I'll get this week with all the stuff that has to happen...

Grades due Tuesday
Last cello lessons Tuesday night
School Concert Wednesday
Class Wednesday night (take-home test due)
Final anatomy exam and paper due Saturday

Then next week, 5th grade graduation Monday
Last day of school Tuesday for kids
Pack up room before summer program starts (only two days to get that done)
Departmental writing due Tuesday
Schedule planning for next year
Supply order for next year

...

And on Saturday we're off to P'town for 4 days.

Wish me luck!

hmm hormonal response to sleep... no wonder women are exhausted, not to mention an extremely overworked and dedicated fiddler! I think you should order an extra supply of sleep Friend!
