Went to a workshop on moxibustion last night, taught by one of the massage school faculty in her home.  It's an Asian technique that applies heat to various acupuncture points on the body and meant to stimulate the body's immune system.  Heat source is the herb moxa (artemisia vulgaris) which is burnt and held near the skin.  Smells a little bit like weed, but it isn't. Might be a little too "out there" as a technique I'd ever use but I might experiment on myself.  The funny thing had to do with the carpooling. A classmate of mine decided she would come too, and since it was a schlep and a half for both of us we figured it would be easiest to go together - and friendlier since the venue was about a 2 hour drive.  Shortly after we began the drive we discovered, through casual conversation, that both she and George had attended the same spiritual retreat the day before.   "Was that YOUR George?" she gasped.  Of course he was, and we laughed about it all the way to the workshop.  On the way home we plotted how we were going to tell him.  We decided that if he didn't recognize her right away that she should say to him "you look familiar."  I told her that once he caught on he'd probably start singing "It's a small world." Sure enough, he didn't recognize her at first, and sure enough that's what he sang when we let him in on the joke.  They had a marvelous conversation after, seems they have a lot in common with regard to their spiritual interests. Later George tried to tease me about "the universe calling" and "there are no coincidences" to which I replied: "Ya know, shit happens.  Sometimes... FUNNY shit happens."
