Sister-in-law is in Florida visiting her mother, which means the Husbear and I had Thanksgiving on our own this year.  Just as well, Sister-in-law isn't getting along so well with her husband (I don't think they're going to be together much longer). I thought I was going to get up early and go to the Spin Class, but couldn't get my ischial tuberosities out of bed until around 9ish.  Started the turkey at 10:30, made the cranberry sauce, took a two hour nap.  A co-worker had given us a butternut squash soup she made, so with the stove top stuffing and sauteed green beans, that was our dinner.  George did the dishes - and told me another Bob story.  Bob was his spouse #2, they were together for 13 years (#1 was a real dickhead, that one lasted a year, I'm #3, 22 years, third time's a charm he likes to say). Where this was going is that apparently Bob was the cook and George would do the cleanup after - he was reminiscing about sometimes getting up between courses to keep ahead of the cutlery cleaning.  They used to have lots of people over "and sometimes a missing place because there would be one less" - a reference to George's experience of the AIDS epidemic.  I was only just coming out when it began, he was already in a relationship and had many gay friends - so he lost more than I did. It was a nice meal, we had two mini-pies for dessert, apple and cherry.  Tomorrow I go back to the gym and eating correctly.
