I posted this in the Fitness Goals Support Group.  I've re-posted it here in my journal because I'm hoping that my friends from other support groups will nag me too!  Luv yas! Hi Gang! Here's the deal: I'm in a weight gain phase in my training. What I'm supposed to do is eat "clean" - namely chicken and vegetables. The goal is to put on as much muscle as possible. At the same time I will be gaining fat, that's okay, it's part of the process. "He's supposed to get fat. That so-and-so... what the !@#$ is HIS problem?" ::blush:: I haven't been eating clean enough. Pizza, bread, cookies, mayonnaise (yikes!!) diet soda (I really don't think I should be having the artificial sweetener, but I want the caffeine). I'd say maybe 75% of my meals are good, and the rest are iffy. I'm getting enough protein but I'd like to be more consistent with correct carbs. My other problem is that I am sometimes missing breakfast because I'm up too late at night on the computer, oversleep and in the morning rush don't get my first meal in on time. SO... ... for the next week or so would you please nag me about how I'm eating? I figure if I have to tell someone (or several someones) whether or not I cheated on my diet I might think twice before I have that sugar cookie in the teacher's breakroom. Or stay up too late and miss breakfast. Thanks all - you're the best!

A good breakfast for the busy is organic peanut butter on seeded bread toast topped with either banana or organic pure fruit spread. No you should not be having diet sodas!. Aspartame is a potent appetite stimulant and will make you crave sugary things and other sweeteners are known carcinogens. If you want the caffeine old fashioned filter coffee, black or with soy-milk or milk for them that likes it would give you the caffeine in a healthier way. Carry nice fruit or seeds or nuts with you for when you want something sweet. Proper french chocolate to drink made by melting good (70%+cocoa solids) dark chocolate in a cup of hot milk is a nice treat too.If you are partial to mayonaise use a additive free one instead of butter on sandwiches. Remember to break your fast like a king, lunch like a prince and dine like a pauper.

okay, meal numbers 1, 2 and three have been chicken, rice and mixed veg with flaxseed oil. I\'ve had black coffee with no sweetener, and 24 oz of water (I\'m behind on the water). Breakfast was within 90 minutes of getting up. Had to walk into the teacher\'s room and heard Sophie\'s voice in my head \"you don\'t really like that stuff anyway.\"

So far so good! I\'m psyched because I get to see my trainer tonight, he\'s back from vacation.
