Okay - it's depletion week.  I can tell.  I've been dreaming about food.  Sugary food.  Chocolate donuts, to be precise.  The huge round tray mounded with powdered, glazed and jelly-filled (all chocolate), interspersed with truffles and mints was being held right under my nose - then I woke up.  From previous experience I know that eating one would feel really disgusting, besides not getting me closer to being ready for Saturday (the day of the show).  So no, I don't really want one, but I think I AM craving sugar.  I'm having to stick my fingers in my ears and sing when the food commercials come on (oh, no! another one!  "I feel pretty, oh, so pretty...") I'm bouncing back and forth between confidence and omigod whatthefkwas I thinking?  It's not about the contest, it's not about the contest, it's not about the contest, it's about the focus and the result I've achieved so far.Yesterday was a rest day - sister-in-law came over with two of her daughters to play in the pool.  It was nice, but possibly today's nervous-energy burst is a consequence.  My next two workouts, like today's, will more than likely take care of it.  We're doing total body high-rep sets (30-50 repetitions of every exercise, very little rest in between).  After lifting heavy for several weeks this is a real gear-grinding change.  It's like riding up hills, at least that's what I keep telling myself - it's a real exercise in mental toughness.I think I'm going to need that onstage as well, no telling how long I'll have to be able to hold poses.  Some I can hold longer than others - trying not to be nervous about that and practice more. More spray on tan tomorrow, some touch up shaving, working out and posing practice.  Oh, and time to buy more chicken.
