Made It

Another year celebrating Ken's Birthday without him present on this Earth. We (only my husnad and me) sent the Balloons to Ken this year. I felt that was the way for this yeat. We went down by the river which is how I wanted to do this year. We had some by-standers watching as the balloons went farther then we could see. It was very quite and I really dont't know how to explain the peace I get from doing the balloons. On the way there I saw a cloud that was shaped like a Heart. Pretty awesome. And they after the release and the balloons were gone from our site. I stated back to our truck I turned looked in the skies and there was this opening in the clouds. I turned to mu husband and said "Look there are Angels Wings wgere the balloons went.  What a comforting feeling. I think leading up to that day is rough.  Then when we let off the balloons there is a feeling of peace.
What's happened in Ken's family since he left to go to his eternal home:
1.  His daughter Beth who he was determined to walk her down the asle in 09 has had two babies. Gabby and Lilly."
2.  His son Kenneth graduated from High School(Ken's wish to live to see, but was not in the plans.  Started College(2nd year)
3,  His remarried this year. Lost the job at the Church Camp and Conference Center...
4.  His first Granddaughter Morgan started First Grade this school year...
5.  His First bord Daughter Pam will be having another GrandDaughter in less than three weeks.
What has not changed:  We still snd miss Ken as much as we did...
What have we Learned:  no matter how Painful Life can be, it continues to move forward....
Thank you all for your notes, love and hugs on Ken's Birthday
Sandi

I am so glad you had a peaceful Angel Day. How cool that Ken showed you that he is okay and loves you. He is with the angels.

I would like to do something on my son\'s angel day, but I don\'t know what yet. Maybe give charity for other sweet young men who seek adventures. As Jake always did. We seem to miss them more as the years go by. It\'s good to hear his kid\'s progress. Life is so dangerous. My younger son, Will, is still convalescing from his motor bike accident. It\'s been more than a month and my nerves are still jangled. Love, Abby

Love the balloon release, for Ken\'s birthday. We had one at the hunting club, that my husbnd loved, on the first birthday he spent in Heaven. Each of us said something to him as we released our balloon. It was very moving.
Dean\'s second Angel date is coming up, on Sept. 1st. I may just release balloons for that date too. I still light a candle for him sometimes, when he is heavy on my mind. Take care....

What a beautiful angel day celebration! Thank you for sharing this. I fear this coming Christmas, it will be the first one without my sweet angel. But you showed me how to put some beauty in my pain. Thank you!

I am glad the baloons brought you peace. We do what we can for our angles and ourselves. I totally believe they are here and take care of things as they can. My granddaughters now see and hear their Uncle more, I think it comes in splirts. I think it is good they still get messages with their simple thoughts and pure hearts.
Big hugs Penny

That\'s a lot of activity that\'s taken place...Moving forward...Because of \"movement\"-- clouds-- can and do make the most interesting winks I\'ve also found...Something that wouldn\'t be possible if said clouds never \"moved\"! Glad the day--although sad-- was tolerable...Love, Donna
