Cant sleep...  i was doin fine till the dog decided he had o go out and started barking at me...  hopefully i'll be able to fall back...  Today (or yesterday) was a good day.. The doctor I was on the waiting list for called and had a cancellation so i fially got to see him and not have to wait till May.  He was totally different from the Neuro i have been seeing.  He's an involuntary movememt specialist.. He's well known in his field, He has done a lot of writing on related subjects and his dad and two uncles have Parkinsons so he has a vested interested in this...  we went through the little PD exercises...  we talked a long time...  he answered every question and concern i had then he brought up some if figured i had but forgot to ask (and he was right)  i felt very comfortable and satisfied with him..  he changed my med .. well not really change he is keeping me on the requip xl but instead of 12mgs he is making it 10 and adding azilect... he explained why he was combining the two..   we also talked about the breathing thing and he told me that was normal with this it doesn't mean i'm severely depresed i may not be depressed at all but i may be getting anxious so he gave me something to take as needed when i feel my chest is heavy or i start thinking i can't breath... his nurse (who is awesome)  stayed in room after he left and showed me how to do some breathing techniques...   My daughter came with me i felt really good about that until they asked me if i have had skin problems in past.. i said yes i had melanoma and he immediately said .. you get checked every year then right...  i said i haven't gone to skin doc for 2 years and he looked at erin and said this is where you become a pit bull and stay on her till she is in that office...  so when we got home erin was on me till i called and made an appointment (it wasn't that i didn't want to i just put it off)   I didn'trealize how high the incidence of skin cancer is in PD patients so after he explained it all to me i realize i have to keep on top of things like that and i will...  I mentioned i was having a hard time finding a supprt group and the nurse left room and came bacck with 3 early onset ones she suggested one in particular..  she knows the leader and gave me her number...  My doc does seminars he said he always needs help wth (things that can be done at home) and if i am interested in helping to let him know.  I left there feeling happy and hopeful not a feeling i ever once left the other neuro with...
I'm grateful that worke out...  and i'm truly grateful for my daughter...
it was a good day...   oh and i finally got to feel the baby move... the little bugger kept kicking my hand... he's a strong little thing!!!
