General update

Well it's time to reflect on how things are going for me.  I am almost 4 months gamble free so on that front all good and minimal urges.   The last 4 months has been very emotional which is hard to believe sometimes how one minute you can feel so great and the next so crap.
The first 3 months into my recoevey I hit the gym on a regular basis and was  feeling good until I caught a cold which put me out of action for a few weeks, then I got lazy so haven't been to the gym for about 6 weeks or so, and now I feel so guilty not to mention the crap food I started to eat again.  Anyway, need to snap out of it and get back into it which I plan to do this week.
I have other things I am focusing on and other goals I am trying to reach so just need to stay focused and motived.  I find after a few months it's so easy to lose it and revert back to the old ways - it's like you start punishing yourself.  I guess takes a lot to kick a 15+ year gambling addiction!!
Well, time for bed got work tomorrow!!

Look at you Bear. So motivated and have come so far. Don\'t listen to that little voice in back of your mind that puts you down. Tell it to shut the ---- up because you know you are doing the best you can. Oh I know the penalty of eating junk food and that is why I am the way I am today but that doesn\'t mean I can\'t change. I also find no urges as if it never happened or was never a problem in my life. Isn\'t that great you can think of work, the gym and eating right instead of all the time focusing on the habit? When that little voice in your head says, \"man you are such a mess up, tell it to shut up and know you are doing the best you can\". I am proud of you for sure. big bear hugs Barb

Bear thanks for sharing where you are in your recovery.. I hope to someday proudly say -\"Hey it\'s been 4 months!\" And oh can I relate to the ups and downs - feeling great one minute then the next feeling like crap.I just want balance : ) Congrats on a mile marker for you - keep up with the gym and eating good - makes us feel awesome when we\'re taking care of our selves.
