My son is having speech problems. When he first started talking he didn't have any problems. He started talking early and talked so well. Then about a year ago he started having mild stuttering. It would only happen sometimes. Then a few months ago he started school and he just steadily got worse. Now it's to the point that he stutters with every sentence and has trouble get words out. You can hardly ever understand him. I am wondering if maybe it has something to do with starting school. Maybe stress, or something else. I don't really know. It just bothers me how bad it got since he started. I feel so guilty because I wonder if he wasn't ready for school yet and I made him go. I was advised from a school social worker that it would be good for him. I would have never sent him on my own. Now I don't know what is causing it and what to do. I have no idea where to start. It hurts so bad. As his mom I feel like I should be able to fix all his problems and knowing I don't know how and maybe can't is really killing me. I love him so much and I don't want him to have any kind of problems. It hurts me to see how much trouble he is having.
