We tried to go to church this morning, but the boys were running around in church screaming. I don't know if any of you know how catholic masses are, but if you do then you will understand why I was so mortified. I tried to take them in the basement of the church fihuring they would settle down, but instead they started climbing on the statue of Jesis. Then after a lot of other drama I finally took them out to the car. I ended up sitting in the car with them for an hour waiting for my husband and the baby to come out. When church was over and we all went home I was so angry. You would not believe how bad they were for me in the car. So by the time we got home I was fuming, I made lunch and was wating for it to cool when my oldest came in and couldn't wait and grabbed some off his my plate. I was in a VERY bad mood to begin with. I couldn't control myself and just smacked me so hard he fell on the floor. My husband came in and picked him up. He said I ruined his day. So here I am lonely and depressed in my room by myself because everyone is mad at me.

Oh you could SO be me. I was so disgusted at the lack of nursery in the Catholic church that I tried to get one started, but was refused by the pastor, the nun, the bishop, and finally Cardinal George of Chicago. I told the bishop I could have spent an hour in a church, synagogue or mosque and not known the difference for all I heard.
I ended up leaving and joining an unbelievably supportive Presbyterian church that believes that any time there is an activity where a parent might want to attend, there will be childcare available.
My suggestion is read them a bible story on the sofa tonight about baby Jesus, and skip Christmas mass entirely. And pour yourself a glass of wine. My boys are 10 and 12 and they still can\'t sit still without going to the bathroom at least once.
My heart goes out to you. Matthew 19:14 Jesus said \"Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them... See, Jesus stopped what he was doing and spoke to the children at their level. The Catholics don\'t get that mass is not at the appropriate level for toddlers.
Let me know how the rest of your day goes. I care.
