It's not only that our interpretation of past events can morph into something else as we change and grow along our timeline, it's also that we might not have understood what the event was about in the first place. So if the origin of our interpretation of an experience is completely wrong how can anyone ever claim mastery of 20/20 hindsight when in truth it never, ever, was in focus to begin with?
