Life is empty & meaningless<---this is just a Belief...and perhaps not a true one afterall
, so that although it seems like a true truth because there is no ultimate (physical reality) way to disprove it, (right?) ......I must remember that my own experience on the planet is limited, as are my personal experiences---> period . (not to mention that I have depression and an assortment of other "failings"....). Therefore, I must consider the possibility that life DOES have meaning and perhaps a purpose that can not be seen as a sole Individual on this planet, with a mind so small...perhaps there IS a Creator, Entity, Something/Someone running the show....?? But, alas, these thoughts, like the others "should" be classified as meaningless since there is no proof of its existance and this train of thought is too limited, confining and "fantastical" to entertain since it brings up good/bad judgements, heaven/hell, limits the possibility of possibility etc. etc.. Am I missing something here? hmmmm....

Wow...great entry. Sometimes I get caught up in the thinking...\"what is the point? What is the meaning? Why am I here? Why am I such a failure? etc..etc...\" I hope there is a God or a creator or \'something\'...because I talk to God A LOT since all the sh*t in my life started going down...
you\'re hurting my brain with all that thinking and analyzing!! Uh oh...I see smoke!! I think my head just caught fire...gotta go dunk my head in the sink!!
Well, I\'ve been a Christian most of my life, and I once thought I understood the facts pretty clearly.
Not anymore. If nothing else, I have been reduced to the understanding, that God is God, and I am not.
There is no harm in believing in God and the need for salvation (minus all the affiliated self-righteousness often associated with the idea) and being wrong, but what if there IS a God and the need for salvation, and you DON\"T believe? Now, that would be tragic. I guess I am just a better safe than sorry thinker.
good point...i don\'t know why i started even talking about this stuff, but it was nice for a minute...nooooooowwww is anyone still awake??
You need to talk to Schmanek, he likes to talk like that,he calls it getting metaphysical! He really gets deep sometimes.I love him he always has different ideas that get us all thinking and talking in a good way.Check him out,I\'ll bet you two could have one heck of an intense conversation about life and it\'s meaning.Take care.
i did miss one!
so \"life is empty and meaningless\" is a belief... and by belief, i hope i can assume that it is also a theory... so, one theory of life is that it is empty and meaningless... and theories cannot be proven correct, only wrong... however, in the subject of life, it is subject to one\'s own interpretation that any evidence contrary to life being empty and meaningless is actually contrary to that and is not supportive. anything can be twisted with spoken and written language. thus, any pro can be con, and any con can be pro. thus, because of the \"subject to interpretation\" law, one would continuously go in circles over proving or disproving the theory that life is meaningless. and, since one can only go in circles, one can neither prove nor disprove this theory.
and, in conclusion, i state that the act of arguing for or against the theory that life is empty and meaningless... is empty and meaningless in itself. XD
and yet, with all this crap i just spouted, which may or may not be logical... i received an A in my \"mind, self, and body\" philosophy course... amazing. @_@
