Life is good
Dear friends,
I haven't written in a while so I thought I would update. Steve will finish another round of Sutent on Tuesday of next week. This 3 week on and 1 week off has really worked for him. He continues to have some side effects but none that he can't manage. Even the dreaded sore feet has subsided and that was the worst side effect he had.
We did talk to the doctor about a new trail drug being studied. I think I told about it last time. No name yet, just a number. Oh how I pray that a cure will come in our lifetime. So many people are suffering. A friend of my daughter dad has been put on Sutent because of a remission. One more person being put on a drug. I pray it works for him.
We have been steady paying off bills. For a while we just lived for the moment and we still do somewhat but we have being trying to put things in order. Who knows I may go first but we are trying to make things easier for the one left behind. He has taken care of me all these years and he continues to try to care for me if something does happen. Cancer leaves so many in dire straights financially and he wants me to be taken care of. I surely don't want to live with my children, one would freeze me to death and the other one has a spouse that would be hard to live with. They have their lives and I don't want to be in the way. If push come to shove I can always sell out and get a small condo and be ok. Only thing is this has been my home for an eternity and I would hate to give up the house and land.
Why am I talking about this, I don't know. I may get to heaven before Steve and that will be ok. (Why I lost my font, don't know) LOL Not going to strain my brain on that one!
