a new day
Hi everyone, yesterday went good, he was gone from me for about an hour. I was getting a little worried and asked the nurse to check on him. He said he did fine, but he had 2 Zanax in his body. I think I will only give him one on Wed because he was really wacky for a bit too long. My daughter Lisa said Mama what are you giving him after he started talking a little "trash" to her. He later told her he was sorry after he realized what he had said. hehe It was mainly what he wanted to do to me!!
Lisa has told me ( she is the nurse) that when she worked in the nursing home the old guys who could barely sit up would still grap her ass when she walked past! Why am I telling you all this crap, don't know , I guess it is the nervous energy I am feeling.
At any rate he will not get two pills on Wednesday, just one.
One of the things the nurse told us was that for the next YEAR Steve could not go outside without a shirt on!! He must wear a tee shirt in the pool, avoid direct sunlight and stay under an unbrella when he had to be outside for a period of time. Heavy sunscreen for him too. He told her he had to mow the grass so she told him heavy protection for that. I am so grateful that we have new developments in the fight against cancer. I firmly believe in research and thats why we raise money for Relay for Life.
I wonder if yall were told the same things about radiation surgery, which is what this is called?
I feel thankful this morning for all of my friends. I am so glad that I can write to you about all of this. I pray that each of you can have a good day today. One without worry and fear. Gloria I am thinking of you and Tom, and Meriel and D, and of course Karen. Ingrid and Ray, and of course the many friends who have lost the special one in your lives. I try to remember each name as I pray. Becca is not on like she used to be, I still pray for her and Tim. I don't want to leave anyone out , forgive me if I do. Piper and Bryan also.
