Thank you

I want to thank each of you for the prayers spoken for Steve yesterday. My heart is overflowing with love for you all.  I so look forward to my time with all of you. You will never know how comforting it is to have friends praying for you.  (well that was a silly statement, of course you know)
As I walked down to the mailbox this morning the leaves were falling all around me. It was a very pretty site to see leaves raining down from the sky.  It used to really depress me when everything died in the fall. That was when I was much younger and not as strong in my faith.  But as I got older I began to equate fall with the Bible,  God's holy word. As the leaves die in the fall so must we die. But look to the spring when everything awakes to life again.  So shall we,  we will be born again! ( I know some of you don't share my faith so I will get down from the pulpit now)
Don't get me wrong I don't like the long winters with the long nights. But aren't we lucky to live somewhere where we experience all four seasons?
I want to wish all of you a Happy Thankgiving and I send you  wishes for a day without the pain of cancer.  Hug the people you love and I send you each my love too.  Wanda

Very nicely put Wanda...the Hospice grief group I attend equated the seasons to grief and I could really relate to that. And I am very glad I live in New England where I get all 4 seasons. The Winters can tend to be long, cold and dark...but at the end the world comes to life again. Spring was Buddy\'s favorite season...and in the list of \"Things To Do\" that I found about a month ago he had left me ...one of the lines was to \"Hug the kids and grandkids and tell them I love you as often as you can\"...and I do just that. ...Hugs Ellen

wonderful entry..You are right we all know how uplifting and comforting it is to know people are praying for you. That got me through many weeks and months in Houston. I didn\'t find this site until after Dan passed away. I wish I would have been lucky enough to have this comfort and support during that earlier time. But I am thankful for it now and you are such a blessing to us all!!
Hugs,
Angie

Thanks, Wanda. I needed that perspective! Today I was thinking that it\'s only a month until the days start getting longer. I do enjoy being outside in the winter if it\'s not too terribly cold. And yes, the seasons are a wonderful reminder of life, of God\'s love, of God\'s purpose!
Thanks for the encouragement!

Love, Karen

Dear Wanda, thank YOU!
I love the changing seasons - just now the chilly frostiness of sparkling autumn mornings, and the promise of snow to come if we\'re lucky (ok that\'s probably only because it doesn\'t happen often here!). And I love you too Wanda, and all the dear individuals here who contribute so much towards making each others\' lives a little easier.
hugs, Meriel
